We can work with you to get the all important Airtightness Certificate so you can get your house on the market or handed over the clients with a completion certificate.
We will require architect drawings with cross sections and your target air permeability for the dwelling.
We also require 1-3 hours of free time on site without anyone entering or leaving the property so we can perform the test.
We can issue the Airtightness Certificate the same day as the test.

GMC - Village Meadows, Lowick
Respected builders GMC were in touch requiring an airtightness certificate before handing over to the clients within the next four weeks. After calculations via the architects drawings we were onsite the next day to perform the test
Prep
We popped in all the downlights, taped the vents, made sure there was water in the traps and took some quick measurements for accuracy before setting up for the test itself.
Test
We used our Retrotec SmartCloth to cover an external door frame which we then loaded with a 6000 series fan into our DM32X and laptop which calculates the air permeability of the dwelling. We must perform both a pressurisation and de-pressurisation test to get an accurate result which took 1-2 hours of which strictly no one was allowed to enter the property. A friendly painter and joiners had been inside prior to this. On successful completion of the test we then issued GMC the Air Permeability score and an Airtightness Certificate for the dwelling which they sent on to the relevant authority.
